The Law Office of Leslie J. Boykin
was opened in the Summer of 2005, and is housed in an easily accessible office in downtown Austin at:
609 W. Ninth Street
Austin, TX 78701
Leslie Boykin represents people needing criminal defense help all over the Central Texas area, as well as in Austin.
In addition to her regular practice, she accepts appointments from the District and County courts in Hays and Travis counties.
Ms. Boykin was in the first-ever group of Travis county defense attorneys appointed to criminal defendants who have been diagnosed with a mental illness or disease. She has a personal interest in this area of her practice, and has continued to accept felony and misdemeanor cases from the courts, for these specific dockets.
Although she has been in practice just 6 years, Ms. Boykin has represented over 600 clients in 6 different counties. She has tried cases to both jury and judge, and been successful at both. Part of her practice includes counseling her clients and guiding them in the right direction to bettering their own lives, and hopefully avoiding ever having to be represented by a criminal defense attorney again.
She strives to give her clients the care and attention they deserve, and to keep them informed at every stage of the case's progression. Her Legal Assistant, Deborah Miller, keeps the lines of communication flowing while Ms. Boykin is in court each day.
